Robert O’Neill
Robert O’Neill
This is
Robert O’Neill. He’s the Navy Seal who put three 5.56 mm OTM
(Open Tipped Match) rounds in Bin Laden’s face from his HK-416 carbine before
he hit the ground.
“When we would take gunfire, I’d stop feeling adrenaline. There were no nerves, and I was worried that I might make a bad decision based on being too calm.”
This
guy literally led the charge, up dark narrow staircases where he could have
been the first one killed by the enemy. He was an easy target as the lead
person in a single file line up a darkened staircase where he knew that the
most wanted and dangerous man in the world was hiding.
He had
the courage and the calm to kill the scumbag Bin Laden as he cowered behind one
of his slutty wives. He shot him in the face without any other casualties to
the women in the room, even though Bin Laden used the women as shields. This
guy he was the one who killed the bastard. He deserves all the recognition and
praise and even more!
SEALs
double tap and safety shot as a rule. He may have only gone for the head
because UBL had a human shield.
Their
shooting skills are like or better that the old demo shooters . I am aware and
in awe of the skills of today’s shooters. Not only possessing crazy levels of
skill but can do it with any weapon from any other nation. In my day we were
really good today they are like machines. I couldn’t carry the ammo of today’s
good shooters.
the
captains who was saved from the Somali pirates. This was something special and
though recognized not many appreciate what they pulled off. Though not in any
personal danger themselves to make three simultaneous shots taking out three
targets in a bobbing boat from another boat is more of a feat than most anyone
but a few can appreciate. There were other circumstances but this is enough.
Those who know will know, those who don’t wouldn’t understand anyway.
When I
hear these people complain about the money that is spent on the military I get
livid. Obama gave his mother in law a lifetime pension of $160k because while
living at tax payer expense with them in the Whitehouse she served as a baby
sitter. When we have people who served and trained to a level , enduring more
pain in training than most in their life. Who don’t get enough to support
themselves completely.
He quit
over the-results of public knowledge. The high profile of the deceased and the
public noise caused descent and envy among his team. This unrest affected the
one absolute must of a seal team, and that is the smooth and somewhat
comfortable feeling, that thing of a group of men that are closer than family.
In any situation no thought has to exist, but certainty that the other team
members will react, almost as a single person, without any distracting thought,
in a way as to resolve any issue. One cannot afford to have any feeling that
every man on a team will perform as if the team has one common mind and balls
out dedication. Any disruption, anything at all causing the slightest mental
hiccup to this can get someone killed.
Chief
O’Neil quit the teams because the effectiveness was off due to the fall out of
this very high profile operation. Not only to him, but the whole team. It was a
SEAL move on his part. He was concerned about his whole team. For the benefit
of his team, his brother’s, his family, he gave up the most important thing in
his life. It was the action of a man, a SEAL, and feelings that only a few can
ever understand or relate to.
Those
who are criticizing Robert O’ Neill couldn’t hold his jock strap.
From the same town as this dude. He has a very high image of himself. It's incredibly off-putting. Douche canoe is being nice.
