What do you know about India and its armed forces now?

Many people think Indian military is somewhat like a third world army, according from them. 
Majority thinks like that. Even Americans think so. Indian Armed Forces, has not been like old days anymore.

Indian Armed Forces today is a very different than the old times. In fact, they have emerged much and thus now becoming a real military power which you can't underestimate anyway. The other thing is, Indian Armed Forces was the main reason for the rescue of 3000 foreigners from Yemen during the Saudi bombardments.

Countries across the world are frantically trying to get their citizens out of the country because of the deteriorating situation in Yemen.

According to a CNN report, the Indian government has told the US that it will help rescue American citizens in Yemen. The US Embassy in Sanna put out anemergency message saying, "The Indian government has offered to assist U.S. citizens who want to depart Yemen for Djibouti. This potentially includes flights out of Sana'a and ships from Aden. U.S. citizens wishing to take advantage of this opportunity should contact First Secretary Raj Kopal at the Indian Embassy in Sana'a"

The German ambassador Michael Steiner thanked government of India for its efforts in evacuating German nationals trapped in Yemen.

India has more achievements than anything you can imagine. Strong nation and strong military skills like India .Their history is very amazing. The battle of Saragarhi and Indian troops at WWII, are living evidences.

In the past, the Indians did two incredible things: one, crushed the Arab conquest after Persia failed and Tang China lost much in Xinjiang; the second, was the crushing victory over the Mongols. Together with Vietnam, India had beaten the Mongol army in 13th century.

Do you remember the Sikh regiments at Saragarhi, right? 21 Sikhs fought over 10,000 Afghans. They lost the battle, but they helped the British Indian Army to win the war against the Afghans. On the other side, the Indian force played a crucial role over their war against the Turks and the Japanese. Without them, the Ottoman might not collapse at WWI, thanked for the Mesopotamian Campaign. At WWII, without Indian force, the Japanese Empire could have ruled entire of Asia.

In the later time, it was the Indians who defeated China at Sikkim 1967. India beat Pakistan at Bangladesh in 1971.

India also participates in many UN missions, and so far, their experiences, are among top dogs in the world. You see that?

India is also another emerging successful model on encountering terrorism. Unlike most of Europe and America which often get problems, India is a different model where, while they are also having Muslim tensions, they still unite together in the name of “Unity in Diversity”.After 2008,attacks on India have not been as serious as before, unlike Pakistan which has fallen from favorite term into a problem cause.

India has changed. Not as important as China currently, however the time shall answer, and India is answering us by reality. From now on, pay tribute and honor to the Indian Armed Forces.
